Avalon Funeral Plans do not provide personal recommendations, so you should be aware that you are responsible for deciding whether the funeral plan you choose will meet your demands and needs.

If you have paid for your funeral plan in full, you can cancel your plan within 30 days of the receipt of your Welcome Pack with no cancellation fee. If you cancel after 30 days following receipt of your Welcome Pack, we will refund all monies paid into the plan, less the cancellation fee. If your plan is paid by instalments, you can cancel within 12 months in the UK/18 months in Europe of the receipt of your Welcome Pack with no cancellation fee.
If you cancel after this period following receipt of your Welcome Pack, we will refund all monies paid into the plan, less the cancellation fee. If we or you cancel your plan outside of the moratorium period, we will retain 50% of the instalment charge you have paid in addition to the cancellation fee. - Collection and transportation of the deceased from a place of residence, a care home, hospital, or resting place in mainland Great Britain to an allocated local mortuary
- Care and preparation of the deceased at an allocated local mortuary (to include full hygienic treatment and removal of pacemaker, where required)
- Supply of a simple wood effect coffin - suitable for cremation
- Minister or Celebrant fee to perform the funeral service on the day of the funeral

- Personalised service at a local crematorium to commence between the hours of 9am and 11am on a weekday (Monday-Friday)

- Any services for a Funeral Director not appointed by Avalon (this may include collection by another funeral director for any reason)
- Face to face appointments with the Funeral Director
- Additional venue costs to host the event or a service, including a church service
- Any disbursement allowances other than those listed in the inclusions
- Out of pocket expenses or transport costs for anyone, including family, friends, celebrants or ministers
- A wake, including the costs associated with catering for the funeral congregation/guests
- Obituary notices posted in the media
- Flowers, floral tributes, or any items requested in celebration of the deceased
- Memorial casket or scatter tube
- Burial or interment plot – a plot of land purchased to be used for ashes
- Headstone, memorials, or associated costs for stonework and erection thereof
- Gifts, including charitable donations
- Cost incurred for the upkeep and maintenance of a memorial
- Traditional hearse or Cortège or other procession transportation for the deceased from the mortuary to the crematorium on the day of the funeral
- Limousine/s for the transportation of funeral guests on the day of the funeral
- List of funeral guests who sent flowers and charitable donations
- Use of chapel of rest for viewing the deceased
- Hymn cards and order of service
- Audio or visual equipment
- Interment of ashes
- Repatriation from outside of mainland Great Britain
- Transfers between mainland Great Britain and Northern Ireland
- Dressing of the deceased in personal clothes or inclusion of items within the coffin
- Return of ashes directly to the family (they can be collected from the relevant crematorium)
- Costs for any service outside of the days and times specified in the inclusions
